Chinese and American people are on the same side in the fight to have clean air and water and a stable climate. The polluters that we must overcome have enormous sway in our governments, where money talks. We must demand changes in energy policies, so that we can phase out fossil fuel emissions, especially from coal. In terms of our personal life styles, probably the most effective action to reduce pressure on Earth and all its species is emphasis on a more vegetarian diet.
